Keeping Granger Pets Well
At Kryder Veterinary Clinic, we are dedicated to keeping your pet healthy from day one. Beginning before you adopt a new pet, to the precious final years, we strive to keep you and your pet happily together as long as possible through routine health exams and preventive medicine.
Choosing a pet is a big decision, and we are here to help you find the perfect new best friend. Are you a couch potato? Then maybe a six-month-old energetic Labrador isn’t for you. Are you an athlete looking for a jogging and biking companion? Then an English bulldog probably isn’t what you’re looking for. Looking for a rescue, but aren’t sure what you want? Want to get your child a small pet of her own, but have never had a “pocket pet” before? We can help you make a smart love connection with our pre-adoption counseling!
After you know the pet you will bring into your home, your family, and your life, Kryder Veterinary Clinic likes to graduate you to the pet wellness phase. Here, we take puppies and kittens and turn them into healthy adults through nutritional counseling, behavioral counseling, and rehabilitation.
No pet’s life will be without a few health issues, and that’s why we believe in establishing a wellness baseline, through charting what is normal for your pet in terms of blood levels, vitals, behaviors, and more. When we more efficiently identify what has gone off course, we can more effectively make things right again.
The Wellness Exam
If you’re a new pet owner, you may be curious about what’s involved with wellness exams, or why pets even need them. During each exam, we evaluate every pet from nose to tail and make note of any areas of concern so we can provide treatment or perform further diagnostic testing, if necessary. The following video provides additional information about what you can expect during your pet’s exam and why these visits are so important:
Does your pet HATE trips to the vet? You’re not alone. Thousands of pets dread going to the vet for one reason or another, but they don’t have to be afraid to come to Kryder Veterinary Clinic. That’s because we implement several different low-stress techniques that are specifically designed to relax pets during their exams. As animal lovers, our goal is to address the physical and mental well-being of our patients. Check out the following video to learn more:
If you have an old dog or cat, it doesn’t mean you have a sick dog or cat. Instead, you have a pet that simply needs to be given a plan for making quality of life as high as possible. At Kryder Veterinary Clinic, we specialize in senior care and believe that the golden years can truly be golden.
